about me
Hi I'm Jehyann and I love video games.
I'm in the third year of a Bachelor of Game Technology and Programming in France where I study Game Programming in C# and C++, Object Oriented Programming, Game Design, Architecture Design (UML), Storytelling, UI/UX, AR/VR, Project Management, Unity and Unreal Engine.
> During my first year I began programming with Full-Stack Web Developing (HTML, CSS, JS, PHP, NodeJS/React, MySQL), and began video game programming with Python and C. I also studied Algorithms and Video Game History.
> Every year, we work on a big project. First year, we created a horizontal scrolling shooter in Python. Second year, we participated in a 4-week game jam where we were asked to create a Vertical Slice in C++ based on the theme "Environment transforms you". This year, we are working on a mobile fantasy-themed vampire survivor on Unity.
> Before starting my Bachelor, I studied 2 years at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations, studying Arabic and then Chinese. I also graduated from High School with a focus on Literature (with Advanced English). Languages has always been a significant part of my life and studies - as you can tell - from a very young age.
> As a hobby, I have skills on Blender, Premiere Pro, After Effect, FL Studio.
Here are some topics that interest me :
• Space. Planets, Stars, Galaxies, Astrophysics and Quantum physics.
• Languages. English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese.
• Reading. Sci-fi, Philosophy, Religion, Biography.
• Traveling. Culture, Traditions, People.
• Art. Painting, Poetry, Cinema, Photography, 3D.
Online, most of my work is signed by the name "corrupted"
What got me into game programming ?
For the longest as I can remember, I've always loved programming and computers. When I first discovered Algorithmic Programming in Python during High School, I remember being so excited by this new world I was discovering. My dad is a system and network administrator and my grandfather was a great chemist, they inspired me alot to pursue scientific oriented studies. I first got to play on a computer when I was still in kindergarten in the 2000s thanks to my dad.
As for video games, I am a huge fan of Elden Ring and Dark Souls. I discovered Elden Ring while I was still studying languages, and this game made me think "I want to create art in video games so players can find themselves in my work, take time to discover my world" and that is what got me into video game Programming.
